Asset Search using QR Codes or Barcodes (Android Only)
Objective: Gain an understanding of how to scan QR codes or Barcodes to open up assets using the Brightly Assetic mobile application.
NOTE The QR Code and Barcode scanning functionality is only available in the Android version of the mobile application.
In order to search for Assets using a QR code or barcode, first open the Brightly Assetic mobile application and select the Menu bar on the top left hand side corner.

Then select 'Assets'.

Next click on the Search option on the bottom right hand side.

In this screen, there is a small QR/barcode icon on the right side in the Search bar.

Users can then click on this to open their camera and start scanning the QR or the Barcode.
When a QR code or barcode is scanned, the mobility app will initiate a search using the text stored in the code.
